I know Mario Batali wears crocs and they are popular. I can’t stand ‘em. My friend who is a chef likes flip flops unless she’s in the pro kitchen

any kind of comfortable shoes, as long as the feet are covered. They need comfortable shoes because of the long hours standing up and also as it gets hot in the kitchen (depending on where he works), feet tend to get swollen.
i LOVE LOVE LOVE my crocs, mine have the holes in them, but most chefs prefer they dont have the holes, in case of spills and i am pretty sure they are slip resistant, so your hubby wont slip and fall on his behind when there is a spill….they are SO comfy and they are reasonably cheap
black ones are most popular, since they match the uniform of a chef
