I used to work as a waitress in a posh sushi place in a very upscale establishment.
We had this guy from Japan in his 40-s. He gained so much recognition and was basically proclaimed the main cook and the other cook’s teacher for sushi, as he was in the restaraunt for the purpose of training other sushi chefs.
He turned out to be 2-faced ****!
Smiled at the guests, nodding his head, but treated waitresses like crap.
One evening, we were really buzy and I didnt get the order correctly, so I was standin behind the counter and he was whispering some crap to me (as I messed up the order), being all offended by it. I just played like I never paid attention and kept on putting my order in the register. Then what he does is – invisibly for the others, he’s coming up close to me and punches the hill of my shoe with his shoe!!!!
I was in shock: I could not make a scene in front of people who were sitting at the counter! SO I left to the back and even cried.
After we got another waiter to work for me. I called Food and Beverage director and he was like “hm, well, I see. If it ever happen again, call me immediately!” Said it with kind of compassionate face…
But I still cant beleive that ******* was smilin at quests and all after that, they didnt do ANYTHING to him! Needless to say after a month a quit this job.
I just wonder did some of you had similar experience?

I’m making jalapeno poppers tonight. I was thinking about fixing them up the way I usually do – filling of cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, & garlic powder & wrapped in bacon. I bake them for about 25-30 mins @ 350 degrees so that the bacon is cooked & the jalapeno is still a little crispy & retains quite a bit of the heat.

How do you like yours? I’m open to some tasty suggestions.
